▶ The Rolling Fork Cotton Society were established five years ago in Brussels, after two founding members came back from a soul-changing trip galavanting across the American deep south.
Delving more and more into Americana and the origins of the blues, they decided to form a band. The direction of the band was clear and its inspiration was drawn from a special place - 'Rolling Fork', the remote outback in Mississippi where Muddy Waters was born.
The band today now boasts 6 members. Their influences are drawn from American country music, bluegrass, Johnny Cash and of course - the splendours of Irish and Italian folk music.
RFCS is about music spreading joy, inviting people to dance and let go, dreaming for a few minutes and disconnecting from the rigours of daily life. They play some original songs, together with a well-established covers repertoire and always welcome a sing along.
