Djevara are a hardcore rock band based in London, UK with a strong DIY ethic, trying to stride the seemingly incompatible worlds of Hardcore Punk Sincerity and Artistic Idealism And Authenticity, which is part of what led to the founding of the warehouse project The Low Fidelity Disconnect in North London, a centre for developing independent music and art. The band are passionate about the ideals of independent music, as well as being known for being overtly politically outspoken in a country in which this is unfashionable; championinf civil liberties and human rights, anti-fascist, against all unecessary wars and the military-industrial-complex, pro-empowerment of ordinary people and against the excesses of governments, multi-national corporations and authorities whenever and wherever they contradict the interests of ordinary people. Djevara is also pro-active for important causes, pledging a % of sales to their campaigns and causes.
