A l’écoute d’Ezra HESPER, on imagine aisément un continent cotonneux, où les accords en arpège virevoltent en suspension autour de la voix enchanteresse du chanteur. Derrière cette voix qui avait reçu un accueil plus que favorable auprès de MAURANE, SINCLAIR, André MANOUKIAN et Olivier BAS dans l’émission « La Nouvelle Star » en 2014, se cache un jeune compositeur perpignanais qui travaille désormais au développement de son projet solo, loin des plateaux des télé-crochets.
Ses reprises acoustiques de tubes tels que « The Boxer » de Simon and Garfunkel, « Wake me up » d’Aloe Blacc ou « Matilda » de Alt-J laissent deviner des influences puisées auprès d’artistes divers, mais qui ont pour point commun de faire la part belle à l’expression de leurs émotions. Janis Joplin, Tracy Chapman, Milky Chance, Damien Rice sont d’autres étoiles qui illuminent la constellation Ezra HESPER.

Roselien Tobbackx (12-21-1992) started writing her own music when she was 12 and hasn't stopped ever since. She's inspired by all music revealing its soul, always curious and looking for other and eventually better ways to express herself.

In her quest for expressive growth she decided to study Theatre Performance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (Belgium). After graduating she felt something was still missing and she decided to dig into the world of music production and all its technical features. She found herself producing her own stuff and felt the core of her expression might lie in writing her own musical scripts rather than performing theatre scripts of others.

Releasing her first ep 'Truth' in 2014, led to some beautiful live opportunities. Roselien was fortunate enough to be given the chance to open for Meshell Ndegeocello at Rich Mix (London),
Lantarenvenster (Rotterdam), De Roma (Antwerpen) and Het Depot (Leuven). Gregory Porter gave her a chance to open for him at Ancienne Belgique, Brussels. Then some other supportacts followed : Anthony Joseph, Luka Bloom and LP to name a few.
